Underarm Botox (Excessive Sweating Treatment)
Excessive underarm sweating can increase considerably in the hot summer months and become a real source of discomfort. Many people who struggle with it turn to underarm botox, also known as sweating treatment. It is carried out in a clinical setting with very fine needles, in the underarm area where sweat glands are most active.
Excessive sweating can affect your private life and knock your confidence in social situations. Treatment begins with a numbing cream applied to the area. After about half an hour, you are encouraged to sweat so that the areas that actually sweat can be identified. Botox is then injected into these areas with fine needles, reducing the activity of the overactive sweat glands and helping to ease the problem.
The dose is determined according to the size of the sweating area. The procedure takes around 10–20 minutes. Results start to appear after around 10 days and last 6–12 months on average.
